Jane Austen 250 Movie: Ruby in Paradise In-Person
Join us as we continue our celebration of Jane Austen's 250th anniversary with movie a featured movie adaptation each month! This month, we are showing Ruby in Paradise on Wednesday, August 13 at 5:30pm.
About the Movie:
Inspired by Jane Austen's Northanger Abby, this movie follows Ruby Lee Gissing (Ashley Judd) relocates to Florida to start anew, while reeling from her mother's recent death,. After finding a job at a souvenir store, Ruby becomes friends with the shop's owner, Mildred Chambers (Dorothy Lyman), and slowly acclimates to her new surroundings. This movie is rated R with a run time of 2 hours.
