CFL Chess Club Meeting In-Person
Children in 3rd through 5th grade are invited to join us in the community room to play chess with other children. We will have some chess sets available, but if you have one at home, please bring it along. Joe Fox, volunteer chess aficionado and retired teacher, will be on hand to help facilitate the program and to open up the hour with a chess puzzle. Mr. Joe has all current background clearances required to volunteer with children. Children age 8 and up may be dropped off for this program as long as we have contact information for their responsible parent/caregiver on registration. Parents/caregivers must return to the Community Room promptly at 7:30pm for pick up.
Please note that this program is intended for children who already know how to play chess. It is not an instructional class, but rather an informal gathering to provide young chess players with the opportunity to play with other kids.
Registration is required and will open one week in advance.
